Alexia Parks, an American futurist , is a Virtual Mentor with the United Nations and Founder of the Alexia Parks 10 TRAITS Leadership Institute. Alexia Parks is also an E-Democracy innovator. As founder of the first electronic democracy website on the Internet, she was called “One of 50 people who matter most on the Internet,” by Newsweek magazine.

Her science-based 10 TRAITS Leadership training program is the only leadership training program in the world based on the New Science of the Female Brain. It creates a new model of leadership based on how the FEMALE brain actually works. Offered both online, and on campus, the 10 TRAITS leadership skills training methodology includes neuroplasticity, neurogenesis, and epigenetics.

Alexia is recognized by those who know of her work as a visionary thought leader and world expert on leadership and empowerment based on the synergy between 10 unique traits hardwired into the female brain and 10 powerful traits hardwired in the male brain. It represents a new school of social thought.

This new school of social thought includes neurobiology, neuroscience, the neuroplastic brain, split-brain research, hormonal research, evolutionary psychology, and both cultural and physical anthropology. It was endorsed, at launch, by Naropa University, The University of Colorado-Deming Center, and Colorado State University. Its global leadership training program is aligned with the Caring Sciences and endorsed by the Jean Watson Caring Sciences Institute at the CU-Denver Medical Center.

A keynote speaker and author, Alexia Parks formerly wrote for the national desk of The Washington Post. She was also a NYC magazine publisher, served as communications director for the Sunday Metropolitan Newspaper network, and was president of Media Syndicate's Contact Sheet.

She was first accredited blogger for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Bali (2007) & accredited for the 2015 COP21 Conference in Paris.
