I am an Indian National Award winning music composer and a Gandhian socialist living in Mumbai-India. My daughter Raageshwari is an Indian actress/singer and a motivational speaker settled in London and married to a London based Barrister, Human Rights Lawyer conferred with the title of Queen's Counsel. India since ages believed that the fabric that we wear over our bodies should only be hand spun and hand woven so that they become a part of of our own skin. This as an industry was believed to have created basic employment for any one even without having any special skills. This industry also being akin to farming is capable of supplement income of farmers and their families placed in the county side and the rural areas. During the freedom struggle of India, the father of this Nation Gandhi made Khadi (hand spun hand woven fabric) as the tool to unite the people of India to rise against the British Rule and he succeeded. Besides being a huge industry only next to food production, hand spun hand woven fabric is the only solution to end unemployment. The industry using only man power would not create any emission. Gandhi also visualized that around the hand spinning and hand weaving gadgets working in the remotest villages and country side could take the center stage around which all the village industries like production of spices, pulses, grains, honey, jaggery, leather products, potteries, arts and crafts could come up and let the country side of any country become the lungs of any country to create and cater to health factors of a Nation. Human emancipation, his easy socio-economic existence and a life with substantive health factors largely lies in his occupational engagement that sustains the natural balance. My family has worked towards establishing the rural based industrial set up around the hand spun hand woven designer fabric to match the modern trends. We have worked out a proper project with designer wears created with the hand spun hand woven fabric.
