Several words about being a writer:

You may hear of writers who have written all about their favourite TV shows or have covered exciting news stories in their local areas. Others have been able to blog about subjects that really mean something to them.

This isn’t always going to be the case.

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve written mind-numbing pieces about credit scores and dental work. My job as a writer is to make them sound interesting and not make it look like I’ve spent the last week writing about the same thing over and over again.

You won’t always get the interesting topics, but the work pays the bills. Sometimes you need to decide which one is more important.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Being a freelance writer is hard work but it is worth it if you really want to do this as a career.
