Bijan Fallah is a climate scientist, currently working at Institute of Meteorology, Freie Universität Berlin. He finished his studies in Physics (Bsc) at Iran University of Science and Technology and Meteorology (Msc) at the University of Tehran in Iran. In September 2011 he moved from the isolated Middle East to the heart of Europe, Berlin, where he started to work at Institute of Meteorology at Freie Universität Berlin in the working group “modeling of climate system” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Cubasch. He defended his PhD in Meteorology in May 2015 (Title: "Modeling the Asian Paleo-hydroclimatic Variability"). He is currently working in PalMod project . PalMod is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science (BMBF) to understand climate system dynamics and variability during the last glacial cycle. He is currently working on the assimilation of proxy archives in paleo-climate models. Dynamical downscaling by using regional climate models is one his expertises, which he worked on during his PhD. He will take care of the regional climate simulations, which are design within this proposal.
