Laura Kor?ulanin is a fusion of Slovenian and Croatian independent design anthropologist, water toilet advocate and artist based in Lisbon. Currently Laura works as independent consultant she is professor and PhD student at at IADE-Universidade Europeia and associated researcher at department of Collaborative Research for Design and Sustainable Innovation - ID:Co.Lab, UNIDCOM/IADE-UE.

Laura presented her (academic) work, research and art to varied audience around the world (Europe, India, United States) and was distinguished with the award of visiting scholar and researcher in New York city, working at John Jay College supported by Ministry of Culture in Slovenia (Summer 2017).

After her studies in Barcelona her life turned upside down after she found her main passion – problem solving of water and toilet issues in developed countries. Proactive and visionary personality bring her to found an interdisciplinary international project GIVE A SHIT under which she is developing solutions for water and toilet related issues focusing on socio-cultural and behavioural paradigm in its core.

Give a Shit project it’s consisted of research, consultancy, education and artivism (art and activism) questioning and stimulating public awareness and bringing sustainable answers to the issues related to water and sanitation.

Currently Laura is project manager of upcoming international conference Why the World Needs Anthropologists – Designing sustainable future, 2018 and research associate at the project research with Environmental Engineering Group at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, UPPSALA studying "Consumer Perceptions to New Sanitation Systems".

Altogether, her professional experience has provided her the insight and know-how for systemic and critical thinking, which culminate in the set-up of social innovations combined with creative narratives.
