Dr. Pratik Dash is an emerging Geographer working as an Assistant Professor at Adamas University. Dr. Dash has worked as a Research Fellow at Banaras Hindu University and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing. He also worked as Research Associate at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is interested in Physical Geography, Quantitative Geography and Remote Sensing and GIS applications. He is expertise in hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling, flood modelling, disaster management, land use dynamics, river basin geomorphology and climate change studies.
In the current project on “Adapt to Climate Risk: Geo-smart Landscape Management and Germplasm Conservation” Dr. Dash will actively participate. He will be engaged in analyzing the primary and secondary data to prepare a risk map for the vulnerable community. Besides, he will visit the field to collect data and will participate in capacity building as an active member of self-help group (SHG).
