Pitch
Climate CoLab Pizza allows small dollar donations to pay for a breakfast, lunch or dinner for a small number of people at any green event.
Description
Summary
Climate CoLab is like a head with no arms and legs, without actions these ideas aren't going to accomplish anything. So, taking a cue from Occupy Wall Street, where you could donate a pizza, this is the same idea, but applied to every green activity, everywhere in the world.
The whole industrial age was about taking complex processes and turning them into simple routine behaviors, so Climate CoLab Pizza can at least provide the fuel for these small steps ( maybe logistics also ).
It's more like Meetup or kickstarter than Craigslist, as I'd like to be in a safe environment, preferably remotely via computer, with an established time limit, setting, cost and amount of labor.
As a donator, I'd love some tangible results for my donation, so rather than be a boss and check in on my employees, photos of the event are posted online, and maybe get a pic of the food and one or two people I fed, or percentage of what task I helped accomplish.
A pizza is a very tangible donation, such that I know what I'm buying and I know the result of my donation. I can buy 1/4 a pizza to feed one person for one meal of the day, which in the case of Occupy Wall Street was 1/3 of a day occupying. I don't have a ton of money, so it is reasonable for someone with my income to make this kind of donation.
Also, green activities are accepted organizations internationally, including China which is unusually cruel to non-governmental organizations.
