Judge 1
The RecyApp team should be proud of their project! With a creative vision, they saw a way to really improve the social, environmental and economic aspects of the recycling community in Bogota. Links and exchanges are already forming between the different local stakeholders to upgrade the project. We can’t wait to see the results of the pilot!

Judge 2
The RecyApp proposal is very rich and well documented. It could really change how Colombia communities deals with the waste for the benefit of recyclers, moving them away from precariousness. The proposal links multiple stakeholders in a creative and interesting way and seems realistically rooted in its particular context.

Judge 3
The idea is well presented and described. Research part needs some more elaboration - how the research is going to be designed, how the sample will be defined? Good correlation between the implementation of the proposed business model and educational aspect. Particularly if taking into account that most engaged waste collectors are not educated. Video can help a wide audience understand the basic principle of the RecyApp, convincing potential contributors to join. The business concept as such seams logical, while some more elaboration on the achievement of proposed goals is needed. Good starting point!

Judge 1 :
The RecyApp proposal is very ambitious and aims to be a game-changer in the realm of recycling in Bogota. The presentation of the project is clear, inviting and packed with interesting information. One way to push your project presentation further would be to demonstrate that the local street recyclers would effectively adopt the App and the technology needed to support it. The project to link those recyclers with small local generators like SME’s and citizens is great and we encourage the team to further explore this aspect of their project to see how’s the best way to do it.

Judge 2 :
This proposal is clear and well argued. It is creatively adapted to Colombia specific cultural context. The advantages proposed to each stakeholders are interesting. The social impact on recyclers is particularly interesting. More information about the amount of waste actually diverted from landfill by recyclers, and an estimate of the impact of the proposal would enriched the arguing. Would it be possible to include the city as a stakeholder in the project? It would also be interesting to know where the waste collected would go, how the App could link recyclers with businesses who could buy these ressources.

Hello...

I hope all is well....according with the comments of judge 1, we say that: The   street recyclers will adopt the App and  have the technology needed to support it. In this video we show this:https://youtu.be/xGdMkdVTZNY

And in this video  we shows the way to link the street recyclers with SME’s and citizens : https://youtu.be/lbR9H2jb2kI

According, with the comments of judge 2, we say that:

  • In Bogota, daily 1.200 tons waste is diverted from landfill (19% of all daily waste) by more of 12.999 recyclers)
  • In Medellin, daily 390 tons waste is diverted from landfill (29% of all daily waste) by more of 3.680 recyclers)
  • In Cali, daily 390 tons waste is diverted from landfill (17% of all daily waste) by more of 2574recyclers)

And the association of street recyclers hope  that the the waste handle  increased in 50% using RecyApp.

Of another hand,RecyApp involved Bogotá city through of  spaces to the citizenship as in distrital news (see City TV: in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtZRqy9RB8I), Advertising in some universities (see http://www.pedagogica.edu.co/home/vernoticia/102) and in social networks (continue in: https://twitter.com/recyapp ).

In the following image we explain the current process and the process with RecyApp ( the route of the waste collected):

Another hand, in this video we shows the way to link recyclers with businesses who could buy these ressources : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbR9H2jb2kI&feature=youtu.be

So, all comments of the judge are solution. If you need more information, are ready to  help you.
