The proposal is interesting and novel, using technology for wider participation and ownership of projects by communities/ beneficiaries, but its feasibility remains questionable. I would encourage the proponent to present further arguments. Has this idea already been discussed with at least the GCF accredited agencies and stakeholders to check whether they would be interested in piloting it? We do not know who are the stakeholders and which project these will be working on...the proposal merits more digging and thinking to make it well designed and give more justification for its feasibility.
The proposal is missing important details on the intervention. How will blockchain technology address the “last mile” issues highlighted? How will local community members access climate finance submissions in order to provide their input? How much time will be required from community members in order to participate in this? Who will manage/be responsible for the app?
