Clark C. Abt, Ph.D. is an engineer, environmentalist, educator, and entrepreneur. Currently Adj.Professor of Energy and Sustainable International Development at Brandeis U. and Instructor in Environment and Cost-Saving Energy at Harvard U. Extension School, he is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of Abt Associates Inc., a major policy research and analysis "think tank" with 2700 employees working in 55 countries. While CEO of Abt Associates in the 1970's he pioneered the design and construction of the first two solar-powered office buildings in Massachusetts, and large-scale social experiments in housing, child care, education, and health care.He is the author of ten books, includingSERIOUS GAMES, THE EVALUATION OF SOCIAL PROGRAMS, THE SOCIAL AUDIT FOR MANAGEMENT, and SOLAR-POWERED ECONOMIC GROWTH.
