Member Profile
Born in cold Siberia during the Soviet Union (SU), but growing up in a smallholder farm in Rep. of Moldova (a former SU country), I have accumulated the ground for the understanding the importance of traditional knowledge in agricultural context of climatic change. Firstly I want to accentuate that my language skills can be very useful in performing a study on adaptation and mitigation in the Pamir Mountains, as some locals might speak or understand Russian. On the other hand, my empiric knowledge was followed by a deeper understanding of climate change problems in pursuing my studies in agricultural universities and research institution from Europe. I have performed researches on climate change and agricultural practices in developing countries, which strengthens my abilities of developing ecological traditional calendars to determine how it can contribute to climate change adaptation.
