Andrew works as a Business Development and Partnerships Manager at Greentown Labs in Somerville, MA. Greentown Labs is the largest cleantech incubator in the United States, hosting over 55 startups working on solving pressing energy and environmental problems. His day to day focus is on making connections between their startups and sponsor & partner networks that lead to pilot, investment, or joint development opportunities.
His work is cross-cutting, involving stakeholders from public, private, and academic spheres such as utilities, energy companies, local and regional governments, and incubators from around the world. Additional competencies honed in this role include technology scouting and evaluation, recruitment, and data analysis.
He received his masters at the London School of Economics where he studied Environmental Economics and Climate Change. This program built further on a strong foundation of science, economics, policy, mathematics, and technology with respect to energy and environment. His research presented a scalable life-cycle assessment framework to improve access to funding for renewable energy infrastructure in the Pacific. Before that, he attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he completed degrees in Resource Economics and Business Management with a focus in sustainability and strategy.
He has worked with early stage startups and high tech professionals during his time at High Tech Ventures where he acted as a System Administrator and Executive Assistant. He is passionate about facilitating the acceleration and diffusion of technological solutions to mitigate global climate change. He also enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and learning as much as possible about the changing energy landscape.
