One problem I see is that we cannot just keep sticking things in space, and expecting to never run out of room in our orbit. Eventually, we are going to create a swirling space garbage storm around our planet that could potentially destroy ships trying to leave etc... The concept is solid, but I do worry about the space trash storm...
