Finalist Evaluation

Judges'' comments

Some of the proposal’s claims need addition support. There is indeed great potential for wind power generation, as the proposal identifies. The judges were reluctant to proceed due to the anticipated high costs of such a proposal at this very early stage concept. The submission could have benefited from additional editing and a stronger structure.

Comments from Judge 1:
Are you sure that the proposal will not have any structural problem? Usually the high buildings are designed to reduce the horizontal loads given by wind. Are you sure that we can increase the surface of the buildings to capture all these horizontal forces of the wind, at this high? The high-altitude winds are considered between the 500 to the 10.000 meters. Speaking about high of just 600 meters is not too low? Moreover, what does it mean without living requirements and without load requirements? Would be economically sustainable if these towers would be just for the production of energy?
