We have no idea is truly happening at the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Facility in Japan, and no idea exactly what damage it is continuously causing a dying Pacific Ocean! Let's have a contest to gather a group of totally unbiased and un-incorporated scientists to spend a few weeks deep inside of that melt-down and let us all find ways of safely fixing or capping it off!!! Besides the thousands of oil offshore oil drilling rigs abroad - there is no other urgency to be addressed, NOW!!

The Radioactive Seawater Impact Map (update: March 2012)may be of interest within this topic. It is found at http://www.asrltd.com/japan/plume.php and shows a model of the extent of contamination. The extent of oceanic contamination is an existential threat to this planet at the microbial loop level.
